"A statistical observation was made on tumors of the genito-urinary tracts of the In-patients in the Department of Urology, Catholic, Medical College Hospital during the period from January, 1963 to June 1970. The results were obtained as the follows. 1. The incidence rate of genito-urinary tract tumors among 1623 in-patients was 11. 03%(179 cases) The ratio between male and female was 6. 8:1(male 156 : female 23) 2. A gradual tendency of annual increase of the tumors was observed 3. Of the tumors, 53 cases or 29.6% were benign tumors and 126 cases or 71.4% were malignant tumor. 4. Of 179 cases or 84.3% were seen by us at the ages of 40 or more, and 28 cases or 15.7% at the ages of 39 years or below. 5. Frequency of genito-urinary tract tumors in each organ were in order of bladder(69 cases or 38. 54%), prostate(64 cases or 35. 75%), Kidney (26 cases or 14. 53%), penis(12 cases or 6. 7%), testis(3 cases or 1. 68%) urethra(3 cases or 1. 68%) and ureter(2 cases or 1. 12%). 6. Histopathologically, transitional cell carcinoma of bladder was observed in 35.75% of all tumors, B.P.H. in 29. 05%, Wilms` tumor in 7. 26%, Squamous cell carcinoma of penis in 6.7%, Adenocarcinoma of prostate in 5. 7% and renal cell ca. 5. 58%."
